A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description

GARNEY A BIM/VDC

Coordinator job is available at Garney. In this position, you will work directly with project teams to assist the project's delivery throughout design and construction utilizing Building Information Modeling. This team is responsible for planning, executing, and closing out of BIM deliverables at the project specific level.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models for specific projects for use during preconstruction and construction

Analyze models provided by Architects and Design Engineers & adjust for internal use in Estimating and Construction Operations

Create 4D visualizations to communicate Schedule and sequence of work

Create/ Render Virtual mockups

Create Presentation material/ visual aids

Manage coordination of work with subcontractors utilizing Navisworks

Model "scope gaps" necessary for coordination of trades

Run clash detection, document clashes, and track through Clash Reports Maintain/Assist project team with COBie execution

Work with Field Engineers and Subcontractors to establish layout points in model as well as field

Provide regular QA/QC field walks to ensure field installations match coordinated models

Record and Report project data for case studies

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or another related field

3-10 years of experience in the construction industry with a minimum of 1 year of direct BIM/VDC responsibilities

Experience with coordinating MEP trades
