A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description

Our company is seeking a detail-oriented Georgia Licensed Surveyor to join our in-office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing land surveys, preparing survey reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong technical skills and attention to accuracy to support our projects and clients.
Responsibilities:
Prepare ALTA, boundary, topographic and as-built surveys. Prepare crews for all aspects of construction staking. Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and legal descriptions. Ensure all surveys comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to gather necessary information. Maintain accurate records of survey data and project documentation. Review existing survey data for accuracy and completeness. Assist in project planning and site assessments as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid license as a surveyor or the ability to become licensed within 1 year. Proven experience in land surveying or related field. Proficiency with surveying equipment and software. Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Salary will be based on experience.
