Job Description

Company Overview Technical Survey Services, Inc. is a full-service land surveying firm specializing in serving the commercial, industrial and multi-family sectors within Georgia. We are committed to delivering precise, innovative surveying solutions that support our clients' projects from start to finish. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Survey Drone Manager to oversee and manage drone-based surveying operations for our growing surveying company. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical UAV/drone experience with surveying knowledge and enjoys working both in the field and in coordination with project teams. The Survey Drone Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing aerial data collection, processing deliverables, and ensuring high-quality geospatial outputs that support construction and land development projects. Responsibilities Plan and execute UAV/drone survey missions for construction and land development projects Operate and manage drone equipment for aerial mapping and data collection Process drone data to produce orthomosaics, point clouds, DEMs, and surface models Ensure accuracy and quality control of all drone-derived survey deliverables Coordinate with survey crews, project managers, and clients Maintain UAV equipment, software, and compliance documentation Ensure all drone operations comply with FAA regulations and safety standards Integrate drone data with traditional survey methods (GPS, total stations, etc.) Assist with project planning, scheduling, and field coordination as needed Qualifications Experience operating UAV/drone systems for surveying or mapping FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (required or ability to obtain quickly) Familiarity with photogrammetry and processing software (e.g., Pix4D, DroneDeploy, RealityCapture, or similar) Understanding of surveying principles and geospatial data Experience with CAD or Civil 3D is a plus Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions Excellent communication and organizational skills What We Offer Competitive compensation Paid time off 401(k) retirement plan Company vehicle or drone field support equipment Career growth opportunities in advanced survey technology Stable project workload and supportive team environment If you are passionate about drone technology, mapping, and modern surveying methods, we encourage you to apply and help us expand our UAV capabilities.
