This is a coordination-focused role for a technically strong professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and can bridge office calculations with field execution on large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise with Trimble survey equipment and Trimble Business Center software, combined with a strong foundation in survey modeling, GPS operations, and precise survey calculations. Priority Technical Stack — Trimble Ecosystem Trimble Business Center (TBC) — primary office software for data processing, modeling, and report generation Trimble Survey Gear — total stations, GNSS/GPS receivers, data collectors (e.g., TSC7, Trimble Access) Experience importing, processing, and quality-checking field data within TBC Ability to create and manage surface models, alignments, and corridor designs in TBC Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact between the Survey Manager/Project Lead and field survey party chiefs, ensuring clear and timely communication of priorities, changes, and deliverables Review, verify, and distribute survey control, stakeout data, and work control lines and elevations to field crews Perform and QC survey calculations, coordinate geometry (COGO), and surface modeling using Trimble Business Center Manage and oversee
GPS/GNSS
control networks, base station setup, and RTK operations across project sites Ensure crews perform layout work accurately for concrete pours, anchor bolts, piping hangers, supports, and other critical installations Check as-built conditions using appropriate surveying techniques and ensure documentation is completed and filed correctly Provide topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantity calculations Assist with conducting quantity calculations as required by the project team Coordinate survey activities with engineers and superintendents to meet construction schedule requirements Monitor and maintain the condition and calibration of all Trimble survey equipment Manage survey department resources and assigned departmental budget Support onboarding and mentorship of junior survey staff and party chiefs
What We Are Looking For Required:
High School Diploma or GED minimum; Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Engineering, Geomatics, or related field preferred 5+ years of experience in construction or land survey, including field and office roles Proficiency in Trimble Business Center for data processing, surface modeling, and survey calculation Demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting Trimble survey equipment (total stations, GNSS/GPS, Data Collectors) Strong understanding of
GPS/GNSS
principles, control networks, and RTK workflows Solid survey calculation skills including COGO, traverse closure, and coordinate transformations Experience producing and reviewing surface and 3D models for construction layout Valid Driver's License Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills Preferred /
A Plus:
Experience on large-scale infrastructure, heavy civil, or mega-project construction (billion-dollar+ projects) Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license — not required, but valued Familiarity with machine control and GPS-guided equipment workflows Experience managing multiple field crews across concurrent project sites Background in cross-section quantity calculations and topographic survey for payment applications Note on
Licensure:
A Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is not a requirement for this position. We value demonstrated field and technical experience, particularly within the Trimble ecosystem, over licensure.
