Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDPs) to join our team as independent contractors for the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS). WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As a QIDP contractor, you will conduct licensure and certification surveys for the Illinois DHS at facilities that provide essential support for individuals with behavioral health needs and intellectual/developmental disabilities. You'll help ensure that Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs), Community Day Services (CDS), and Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs) are meeting state requirements and providing safe, high-quality services. Your work will contribute directly to improving the lives of those who rely on these vital programs.
  • This is a full-time contract position expected to last at least six months - but can be extended beyond that timeframe.
  • A state-owned vehicle is provided for travel between survey locations.
  • Candidates must pass a background check.

  • Minimum of 2 years working directly with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Must be listed in the QIDP database maintained by IDHS for at least two years
  • A valid driver's license with the ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays
