Survey Crew Chief Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Survey Crew Chief to conduct Boundary, Topographic, Alta Surveys, and Construction layouts. The ideal candidate will oversee and operate a one-person crew, utilizing various advanced surveying instruments and software. Responsibilities Conduct Boundary, Topographic, and Alta surveys, as well as Construction layouts. Oversee and manage a one-person survey crew. Operate surveying equipment including theodolites, total stations, and Trimble robotic instruments. Download and upload survey data to the appropriate files in the computer network or field data collector. Essential Skills 5+ years of land surveying experience. Experience in running a one-man crew. Proficiency in operating surveying instruments such as theodolites, total stations, and Trimble robotic instruments. Knowledge of GPS equipment is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of land surveying, including Boundary, Topographic, and Alta surveys. Experience with boundary survey software. Familiarity with Topcon and Trimble GPS systems. Work Environment This position offers the opportunity to join a leading team in civil engineering site design within the industrial space. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
