Role:
Join R E Allen & Associates LTD as a Survey Crew Chief and lead a dynamic team in delivering precise surveying solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while ensuring high-quality results in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage field survey crews to execute surveying projects efficiently. Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction surveys with precision. Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software for accurate data collection. Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure project specifications are met. Train and mentor junior survey staff on best practices and safety protocols. Review and verify survey data for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and maintain detailed field notes and reports. Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with leadership experience preferred. Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Illinois. Proficient in using survey instruments and software (e.g., Auto
CAD, GPS
). Strong understanding of surveying principles and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work in various outdoor environments and lift heavy equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing project needs.
