$8 per completed property (typical homes/hour is around 4-5) About the Opportunity We are looking for a dependable independent contractor to complete residential property surveys on behalf of insurance companies. This is a field-based position that involves traveling to assigned properties, taking required exterior photographs, documenting basic property information, and submitting completed surveys electronically. This can be a good opportunity for a college student, retiree, gig worker, or anyone looking for flexible independent work that allows them to manage their own schedule. No insurance sales are involved. What You'll Do Travel to assigned residential properties within your service area Photograph homes and other required property features Complete basic exterior property observations Follow provided survey and photography requirements Upload photographs and survey information electronically Plan your own driving routes efficiently Complete assignments within required deadlines Maintain professional conduct while working in residential neighborhoods Most assignments involve exterior observations only unless otherwise specified. What You'll Need Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle Smartphone with a good-quality camera and internet/data access Ability to navigate between properties using GPS Attention to detail Dependable transportation Ability to work independently without direct supervision Ability to follow photography and documentation instructions Reliable communication Previous insurance, inspection, photography, or real estate experience is helpful but not required . Training and instructions for completing surveys will be provided. Independent Contractor Position This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity and not a W-2 employment position. Contractors are responsible for providing and maintaining their own: Vehicle Fuel Vehicle maintenance Auto insurance Smartphone and mobile data Other expenses associated with completing assignments Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and business expenses. Compensation Contractors are paid based on completed assignments.
