We are now seeking an experienced, licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to serve as Project Manager and Office Lead for our Leominster location. This role combines technical surveying leadership (with emphasis on topographic and
ALTA/NSPS
surveys) with project management, client relationship management and team supervision. The Office Lead will ensure technical quality, timely delivery, profitable performance of projects, and local business growth while mentoring and developing staff.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage land surveying projects from proposal through delivery, ensuring scope, schedule and budget adherence.

Perform, oversee and review topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS title surveys and related deliverables to meet client and regulatory standards.

Direct and coordinate boundary surveys, Land Court matters, subdivision layout, and construction surveying activities, ensuring legal and technical accuracy.

Supervise, mentor and develop survey staff and field crews; assign work, perform performance reviews, and maintain staffing plans.

Serve as primary client contact for the Leominster office: cultivate relationships, gather requirements, present results, and resolve issues.

Prepare and review project cost estimates, budgets, fee proposals and change orders to support profitable project execution.

Implement and enforce QA/QC procedures for field and office work; review deliverables for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.

Oversee use of surveying software and CAD outputs; verify Civil 3D and AutoCAD production standards for plans and models.

Coordinate permitting, municipality interactions and third-party consultants as required for projects.

Manage scheduling, resource allocation and subcontractor coordination to meet project milestones.

Identify and pursue local business development opportunities, contribute to proposals and marketing, and grow regional workload.

Ensure safe work practices on sites and maintain compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.

QualificationsProfessional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required; Massachusetts PLS preferred or ability to obtain state licensure.

Proven experience executing and overseeing topographic surveys and
ALTA/NSPS
title surveys.

Strong technical background in boundary surveys, Land Court procedures, subdivisions and construction staking.

Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD for survey deliverables; familiarity with field data collectors and GNSS is preferred.

Demonstrated project management experience including estimating, scheduling, budgeting and QA/QC.Leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to mentor and develop staff.

Excellent client-facing skills with experience in business development and proposal preparation.

Ability to read and interpret legal documents, plats and survey plans.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization and attention to detail.

Bachelors degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
