The Survey Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing survey data, survey maps, plats, easement exhibits, and other land-related documents to support right-of-way, transmission, utility, and infrastructure projects. The individual works closely with survey firms, project managers, right-of-way, and engineering personnel but does not perform professional land surveyor sign-off duties . Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review and analyze survey maps, plats, easement exhibits, legal descriptions, and related land documents for accuracy and completeness. Examine survey deliverables received from third-party survey companies and identify discrepancies, omissions, or items requiring clarification. Verify that plats and easement documents accurately reflect property boundaries, rights-of-way, easements, and ownership information. Coordinate with survey companies, project teams, engineers, and right-of-way personnel to resolve survey-related issues. Review proposed easement exhibits and plats to ensure consistency with project requirements and property rights being acquired. Utilize KAD (Knowledge Acquisition Department/Software, if applicable) and associated mapping systems to review and manage survey-related documentation. Maintain organized records of survey reviews, comments, revisions, and approvals. Assist with quality assurance and quality control efforts for survey and mapping deliverables. Interpret deeds, easements, title commitments, legal descriptions, and property records as they pertain to survey and right-of-way projects. Provide feedback and recommendations regarding survey corrections and revisions. Support electric transmission, distribution, renewable energy, pipeline, transportation, or other infrastructure projects through land and survey review activities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project schedules and deliverables are met. Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable state and local regulations. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting electric transmission, utility, or infrastructure projects. Experience utilizing GIS, mapping software, or land management systems. Knowledge of industry standards and surveying best practices.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered 2-5 years of professional GIS experience, preferably in utilities, energy Knowledge of ArcGIS desktop and extension
