A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description

LAND SURVEYOR - CAMDEN, MAINE
Gartley & Dorsky Engineering & Surveying is looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team in our Camden, Maine office. This position is primarily a field-based role with opportunities for growth over time. An ideal candidate will have experience in boundary and topographic surveys, but we are open to training a motivated candidate who is newer to the field. Other desirable experience would include construction layout, FAA Part 107 drone license, deed research, and drafting with Autodesk Civil 3D.
