A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

  • Aftermarket Sales & Maintenance Field Surveyor will be responsible for day-to-day duties within Sylvan including but not limited to the items listed below. The successful candidate will need to act proactively, be punctual, and reliable. Job Responsibilities The list below is meant to be a guide and not all inclusive of the daily responsibilities.
  • Discuss and review system requirements with customers to make application recommendations based on the information provided.
  • Ability to work in a technical sales environment.

  • Engineering background or strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills with emphasis on Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
  • Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to prioritize own time, & time and workflow of others.
  • A thorough understanding for the nature of an office environment and the importance of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgement.
