Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Neel-Schaffer, an Engineering News-Record Top 500 Design firm with offices in nine states, has an immediate opportunity for a Survey Crew Chief to join our growing engineering firm. This position will be based in our Starkville, MS office. Travel will be required. This critical position performs complex engineering surveying tasks associated with survey field operations. The Survey Crew Chief will act independently and as part of a team supervising all phases of work in the field. While leading a field survey crew with a hands-on approach, the Survey Crew Chief will both collect and supervise the collection of survey data. The Survey Crew Chief is responsible for managing and directing field personnel, ensuring adherence to survey procedures and safety requirements, and operating survey instruments and data collection equipment to obtain accurate and reliable field measurements.
Minimum Qualifications:
