Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic surveying team as a Survey Crew Chief, where you will lead field operations, coordinate survey activities, and ensure accurate data collection for a variety of civil engineering projects. Your expertise will drive the success of land development, construction, and infrastructure initiatives by overseeing survey crews and utilizing advanced surveying technologies. Duties Lead and supervise survey crews in daily field activities, including data collection, staking, and site layout Operate and maintain advanced surveying equipment such as 3D scanners, GPS units, and total stations Perform land surveying tasks using techniques involving trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and CAD drafting software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, Revit, MicroStation, and Schematics Conduct utility locating to identify underground infrastructure using specialized tools and coordinate with utility companies Collect and analyze spatial data utilizing GIS software such as ArcGIS for mapping and project planning purposes Prepare detailed survey reports, schematics, and drawings ensuring accuracy for project documentation Oversee safety protocols during field operations, including heavy lifting and the use of hand tools, to maintain a secure work environment Skills Strong knowledge of land surveying principles combined with proficiency in GPS technology and data collection techniques Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation) for drafting and designing schematics Skilled in using GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping projects Ability to interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with utility locating procedures and 3D scanning technology for precise site measurements Solid understanding of math concepts including trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and data analysis skills Experience with heavy lifting, hand tools operation, and adherence to safety standards on construction sites Effective leadership skills to manage teams while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency Hold FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate Embark on an energetic career path where your technical expertise meets leadership!
