What they do
A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent Three years experience in Field Surveying Demonstrated experience using computers in a professional environment Working knowledge of Leica Equipment, Processing Software, and Data Collection Ability to work a flexible schedule with longer hours while maintaining concentration in varying weather conditions Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability and willingness to perform work in both the field and office settings Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk and stand frequentlyPreferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in Land Surveying, Drafting Technology, or related Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) or Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) Certification Demonstrated experience with Auto CAD Civil 3D E&A is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
