The Senior Healthcare Surveyor will:

Perform surveys and investigations in healthcare facilities to determine their level of compliance with State and Federal regulations. How does it get done? The Senior Healthcare Surveyor is responsible for: Interviewing residents and clients and staff of healthcare facilities; Evaluating the facility environment to ensure it meets fire safety and infection control standards; Reviewing records; Ensuring resident and client rights, quality of care and quality of life meet regulation standards. Who are the customers? Long-Term Care healthcare providers; New Mexico residents receiving healthcare services. Ideal Candidate Long-Term Care healthcare providers; New Mexico residents receiving healthcare services. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Architecture, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Rehabilitation, and /or Criminal Justice and two (2) years directly related experience in community based healthcare services and case management. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Working Conditions Work is performed in the office setting with exposure to visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive computer and telephone usage.
