What they do
A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
ALTA/NSPS
surveys using Civil 3D and related survey software. Prepare surfaces, contours, utility mapping, and site feature exhibits. Research deeds, title commitments, easements, and public records to support boundary determinations. Draft legal descriptions and easement exhibits. Perform quality reviews of survey plats, drawings, and project deliverables. Calculate and prepare stakeout information, alignments, and construction survey deliverables. Collaborate closely with field crews, project managers, and survey leadership to ensure project success. Assist with project planning, task coordination, scheduling, and quality management. Contribute to a team culture focused on technical excellence, continuous learning, and professional growth. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field - NOTREQUIRED LSIT
certification preferred. CST Level II or III certification preferred. Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and survey drafting workflows. Experience processing survey field data and preparing survey mapping deliverables. Understanding of boundary surveying principles, title research, and legal descriptions.
