Full Job Description Position Overview:
Power your future with Qualus as a Senior Land Surveyor. The Senior Land Surveyor is responsible for reviewing and managing projects. They will recommend facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out the projects. They will oversee the technical, legal, and financial issues of the projects. They will also determine project objectives and requirements, develop standards and guidelines. Receives administrative supervision with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
Responsibilities:
Delivers a comprehensive set of surveying and mapping services to clients as their single point of contract. Experience in land surveying right-of way acquisition and utility land management. Uses creativity, foresight, and mature judgements in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems. Boundary resolution and mapping. Makes decisions and recommendations that are authoritative and have an important impact on extensive organizational activities. Works on programs with complex features. Mentors and shares lessons and skills learned with less-experienced staff. Develops standards and guidelines. Leads the organization in survey standards and practice. Working with land acquisition strategy, budgets, and project estimates.
Qualifications:
15+ years of expereince performing land surveying. Bachelor's degree in surveying, engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues Licensed Land Surveyor or relevant experience. Obtain licensing as required for project support. Member of professional practice organization, national board member or officer, recognized expert on statewide activity, resource for national activities and organization (recommended).
