What they do
A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
location:
Plain City, Ohio job type: Permanent salary: $100,000 - 115,000 per year work hours: 8am to 5pm education: No Degree Required responsibilities: Perform construction layout for commercial concrete projects using Trimble robotic equipment and Total Station technology.Lay out footings, anchor bolts, and structural elements while ensuring accuracy throughout all phases of construction.
Interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings to support field operations and project execution.
Coordinate with project teams to maintain layout accuracy and support successful project delivery across multiple job sites.
Primarily support one assigned project with occasional assistance on nearby projects throughout the Columbus market. Requirements 3+ years of construction field engineering, layout, or surveying experience (commercial concrete experience preferred but not required).Proficiency with Trimble Robotic Total Station, Total Station equipment, and reading construction drawings; AutoCAD experience preferred.
Thorough understanding of construction layout principles with the ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
