We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to perform field surveying services across a variety of residential, construction, and infrastructure projects. This position is ideal for an experienced survey professional who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable working independently, and takes pride in producing accurate, reliable field data. The Land Surveyor will travel to project sites throughout the service area, operate robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and other surveying instruments, and collect field data to support construction, property, engineering, and development projects. The role requires sound technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt effectively to varying site conditions. The successful candidate will be able to manage field assignments with limited remote supervision, prioritize work effectively, and communicate regularly with project management. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, quality, and professional standards. Service Regions- Lehigh Valley Lehigh County Northampton County Bucks County Philadelphia Montgomery County Chester County Delaware County Monroe County Poconos Key Responsibilities Perform boundary, topographic, construction, and other field surveys using robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS, and conventional surveying methods Perform construction staking and layout for foundations, utilities, roads, and other infrastructure Locate, identify, and document property monuments, utilities, improvements, and other project-specific features Collect, verify, and organize field measurements and survey data for office processing and project deliverables Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot surveying instruments and field equipment Review project plans, survey records, work orders, and technical specifications prior to and during field assignments Coordinate with project managers regarding daily schedules, project status, site conditions, and any issues that may affect project completion Maintain accurate field notes and documentation while following established surveying and safety procedures Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of land surveying experience Proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and electronic data collectors Strong understanding of surveying principles, geometry, algebra, and trigonometry Ability to read and interpret survey plans, construction documents, and technical specifications Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage field assignments independently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle Willingness and ability to travel regionally to project sites Ability to work safely outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions Ability to lift and carry surveying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field Experience preparing or reviewing survey maps, plans, and technical drawings using CAD, Revit, or ArcGIS Professional Surveyor (PLS) license or eligibility for licensure Experience with construction layout, boundary surveying, and/or topographic surveying Compensation & Opportunities Competitive hourly compensation Overtime opportunities Performance-based bonus opportunities Additional annual bonus opportunities Work Environment Combination of outdoor field work and office-based activities Regular travel to project sites throughout the service region Year-round employment Primarily Monday through Friday schedule Flexible work schedule: 20-40 hours per week
