We are in search of qualified, experienced individuals for CAD Drafting on Land Surveying and Construction Projects. Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel is desired - full time position. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D / Land Desktop, Carlson, coordinate geometry, file and directory structures, file transfers via e-mail and ftp, data collection procedures, Digital Terrain Modeling, and the ability to efficiently manage the drafting portion of a project. Hand drafting experience is a plus, but not necessary. The ideal person will be a team player, a self starter, willing to learn, dependable, capable of meeting deadlines and able to work closely with the Professional Surveyor and Mapper and multiple field crews. The optimal candidate will be well versed in all aspects of construction layout and land surveying, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction plan reading, construction as built surveys, preparing construction data for field crew layout, and data acquisition for engineering base maps. Must be capable of understanding project information collected in the field via field notes, have a thorough understanding of field calculations, data collecting software and data transfer programs, be able to interact with field crews and produce electronic survey drawings.
