Job Description
Land Surveyor Introduction:
As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to land surveying and civil engineering. This includes making precise survey measurements, interpreting legal descriptions of real property, preparing maps, and processing land documents. You will work under the supervision of a responsible supervisor and be part of a survey party.
Responsibilities:
Performing routine work as a member of a survey party Making precise survey measurements using surveying instruments Interpreting legal descriptions of real property Researching, analyzing, and adjusting survey data Preparing maps for various purposes Processing land documents and rights-of-way Inspecting property and investigating encroachments Preparing reports and correspondence
Requirements:
Required Skills:
Land Surveyor In Training certificate (LSIT) Prior experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for land surveying or civil engineering purposes Strong oral and written communication skills Two years of Civil Engineering or Survey Technology training or equivalent experience Valid California driver''s license Physical ability to do field survey work
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Survey software LSIT certification Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles
