A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Salary:
$120,000 - $205,000 per year A bit about us: Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary engineering and surveying consulting firm known for delivering technically challenging land development, infrastructure, transportation, and public works projects throughout California. Their surveying professionals are trusted advisors on some of the region's most complex boundary and mapping assignments, combining modern technology with decades of surveying expertise. As the organization continues to grow, they're seeking an experienced California Professional Land Surveyor who enjoys solving complex boundary issues, mentoring technical staff, and serving as a subject matter expert on legally defensible survey work.
