Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil (Infrastructure)

ROLE:

Motivated and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor sought to carry out all quantity surveying activities on assigned infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of quantity surveying principles, local project requirements, government regulations, and industry best practices. Their expertise will be crucial in developing precise and dependable priced/unpriced Bills of Quantities and estimates for a variety of infrastructure projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical competence in preparing Bill of Quantities and cost estimates for diverse infrastructure projects and able to deliver work and integrate with larger project teams. Clear knowledge of work procedures and responsibility for completion of projects to time and cost. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively. Communicating with the counterpart in the lead office/Client and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to understand project requirements and obtain necessary information. Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, providing them with the necessary training and support to develop their skills. Self-discipline and able to manage own daily work allocation as well as team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Minimum 6-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Estimation in Infrastructure projects in the Middle East, UK, and USA region.

KEY COMPETENCY

- Technical Skills Develop comprehensive BOQs for projects, accurately measuring and estimating items and quantities based on project specifications and drawings for diverse infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, aviation, building and other civil engineering projects. Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for all project components during different project completion stages. Update and maintain cost databases with relevant information.

KEY COMPETENCY

- Soft Skills Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard software, such as iTWO Cost X, Bluebeam Revu, REVIT, Auto

CAD & MS

office. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including

CESMM3, NRM, POMI, MMHW

(UK) and Indian codes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
