Full-Time About Us Small firm with varied types of work including energy sector, construction layout and DOT preliminary surveys. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Land Survey Crew Chief to join our team in the Atlanta area . This role will be responsible for conducting construction layout and boundary surveying while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the field. DOT experience is preferred. Key Responsibilities Lead a field survey crew in performing GDOT, Gas utility, & Boundary surveys Utilize Trimble equipment for precise data collection and staking. Interpret engineering and construction plans for field implementation. Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and team members. Ensure all work meets project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain field equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief. Must be proficient in Trimble Access Proficiency with Trimble survey equipment and data collection is a must. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and legal descriptions.

Preferred:

DOT (Department of Transportation) survey experience. Experience working with land development and infrastructure projects. Familiarity with survey software for data processing.
