A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

This is an opportunity for a SUE professional to further their career working within a dynamic and growing Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm.
Qualifications:
Previous experience designating utilities and performing records research required, preferably in an engineering design environment. 1-3 years field experience in utility designating. Working knowledge of Ground Penetrating Radar, Electromagnetic pipe & cable locating equipment, and vacuum excavation a plus. Strong management and organizational skills while performing field operations. Experience with DOT, municipal, and/or public utility projects a plus. Skills involved in the preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation are required. Surveying and/or drafting experience a plus, but not required. Position will involve some travel out of town. Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.
