A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains relationships with clients to increase Company exposure and position the Company for survey contracts. Business development teaming and lead for Community Infrastructure Survey in the Charlotte market. Manage and oversee all aspects of survey projects and operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures. Administer contracts and manage projects, interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments. Assist Managers with workforce planning, monthly billing, and final review of completed reports and maps. Manage the division which includes multiple groups and office locations to achieve expected profitability and growth.Qualifications:
Professional Land Surveyors (PLS) licensure in North Carolina required. Additionally, South Carolina PLS preferred. Experience performing business development and maintaining relationships with clients. 10+ years of progressive experience in surveying management, specifically supporting community infrastructure survey projects. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills to effectively and professionally interact with team members, clients, governmental review authorities, government officials, and the public. Demonstrated expertise adjusting to priorities and demands from multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multi-disciplinary environment. Firm understanding of risk management and loss prevention. Superior organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail. Extensive knowledge of survey and mapping principles, practice standards, procedures and project management. Experience with survey computations and platting using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS, as well as field experience with Trimble Survey field equipment. Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.Corporate Information:
