Qualifications Research Full Job Description What We're Looking For:
The Geomaticist/Surveyor independently plans, performs, and delivers geomatics and surveying services in support of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, transportation, environmental, energy, and land development projects. Serving as a technical resource, this role provides accurate geospatial data, surveying expertise, and innovative solutions to Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, Landscape Architects, and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The Geomaticist applies advanced knowledge of surveying principles, field operations, data processing, CAD, GIS, and emerging geospatial technologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable survey information while supporting exceptional client service and Barge Design Solutions' commitment to technical excellence, safety, and innovation. Responsibilities Apply laws & procedures relating to land ownership, boundaries and titles when undertaking surveying and geomatics work. Plans and provide advice for project developments in land, building, and other types of developments using a variety of methods. Utilizes cutting-edge technology such as GPS and laser technology to measure angles and distances, perform GIS data collection, research and error analysis, perform Technical ALTA Surveys, Boundary and Topographic Surveys, Parcel and Easement Descriptions, Construction Staking Project boundary surveys, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, and construction layout. Provides calculations to field crews, perform spatial data analysis, identify error sources, etc.
PEOPLE SKILLS
Mentors less experienced designers, Technicians, and Surveyors and offers advice and knowledge. Reviews work of others for quality purposes.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from accredited program. Minimum of 2 years of Geomatics, Surveying, or other relevant experience. 8 years of relevant experience may count in lieu of degree.
