Centerline provides surveying, civil engineering, land development, drainage, utility infrastructure, platting, and construction support services for commercial, industrial, municipal, and private development projects throughout Texas. Our team takes pride in delivering accurate field data, exceptional client service, and high-quality project execution that supports successful engineering and development projects from concept through construction. The Survey Party Chief will lead field survey crews and be responsible for the collection of accurate and reliable survey data for a variety of projects, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, construction staking, route surveys, as-built surveys, and subdivision development projects. This individual will operate and maintain survey equipment, direct crew members in daily field operations, ensure adherence to established surveying procedures, and verify the quality and accuracy of collected data. The Party Chief will work closely with project managers, survey technicians, engineers, contractors, developers, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who possesses strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and extensive knowledge of modern surveying practices and equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects throughout West Texas while contributing to the continued growth and success of a respected regional consulting firm. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible land surveying experience Previous experience leading a survey crew preferred Proficient in the operation of GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and related surveying equipment Strong understanding of boundary, topographic, construction staking, and as-built surveying procedures Ability to read and interpret plans, plats, deeds, and construction documents Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred Qualifications Experience with Trimble equipment and software Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D survey workflows Knowledge of Texas boundary and subdivision surveying practices Experience with municipal, commercial, and land development projects Benefits Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience Health insurance Paid time off Company vehicle (where applicable) Professional development and training opportunities Licensing and certification support Advancement opportunities within a growing company
