Party Chief (Permian) September 24, 2026 Job Description Datapoint Surveying and Mapping is seeking a Survey Party Chief for our Permian Basin operation. This is a full-time position that will include benefits and will require ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Required Qualifications Valid DL with clean driving history 2+ years of responsible charge in route/ pipeline surveying, construction staking, and site layout Highly proficient use of basic & common survey instrumentation such as GNSS, conventional total stations, and levels Working knowledge of robotic total stations and LIDAR scanning instrumentation Flexible schedule to handle heavy workloads as needed with travel up to 50% of the time from Hobbs, NM, West Texas, to East Texas operations Highly organized Desirable Qualifications 3+ years of Trimble Access use Familiarity with Trimble Pipelines module Experience in a variety of Autodesk products including Revit, Navisworks, and Inventor Flexible schedule to handle heavy workloads as needed Key Responsibilities Positions requires a responsible individual who can handle a variety of project scopes in the energy industry Read and interpret plan sets, map sketches, and a variety of data files for execution of route surveying, construction staking, as-built & after-built surveys, well surveys, boundary surveys, and site and/or grading layout Communicate with supervisor on a regular basis to understand assignments and meet expected execution time-frames
