Immediate Job Overview We are a leading AI technology company looking to hire a Data Capture Technician to support reality capture, field data collection, and construction site documentation on active construction projects in Texas. The Data Capture Technician will operate 360-degree cameras, reality capture equipment, surveying tools, and related technology to collect accurate, high-quality construction site data used for AI-driven analysis, computer vision, algorithms, and technology development. This is a hands-on, field-based position for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working outdoors, and interested in construction technology, surveying, civil engineering, photography, data collection, or artificial intelligence. Professional training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Operate 360° cameras, reality capture equipment, surveying tools, and related field technology. Capture accurate and comprehensive construction site data according to established processes and project requirements. Document construction progress and site conditions. Communicate clearly with project teams regarding on-site activities, progress, and requirements. Follow all health, safety, site access, and client-specific safety protocols. Identify potential safety concerns and maintain awareness while working on active construction sites. Walk extended distances and perform physical fieldwork as required. Collaborate with project teams and adapt to changing project needs. Maintain the quality, accuracy, and completeness of collected field data. Work on large-scale construction sites in Texas. Must-Have Requirements Availability to work Fridays for approximately 5-10 hours; Friday availability is non-negotiable. Availability for approximately 2 field days per week, with the second day to be confirmed. Comfortable working in person on active construction sites. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions. Ability to walk long distances and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Strong safety awareness and ability to follow general and site/client-specific safety procedures. Reliable, punctual, dependable, and committed to high-quality work. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and solve problems in the field. Comfortable learning and operating new technology and equipment. Ability to follow established procedures and accurately complete assigned data collection tasks. Preferred Qualifications Experience or education in construction, surveying, civil engineering, engineering, photography, field operations, or a related field. Previous experience working on construction sites or in field-based environments. Familiarity with surveying equipment, cameras, mapping technology, reality capture, 3D scanning, or data collection. Technical aptitude and interest in AI, computer vision, construction technology, or emerging technologies. Current college students pursuing construction, engineering, surveying, technology, photography, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Training Training will be provided on reality capture equipment, data collection procedures, construction-site protocols, and project-specific requirements. Prior experience with reality capture equipment is helpful but not required.
