The Sustainability Program Manager is the organization's subject matter expert and central point of contact for sustainable waste processing solutions for the company. This person is responsible for developing, expanding, and optimizing a network of internal operations and external partnerships focused on sustainable recycling and disposal options for our customers. Identify, implement, and maintain a supply chain network of internal processing operations and external partnerships to offer our customers sustainable solutions for all waste needs. Serve as an internal point of contact for guidance and support to Proposals, Sales, and Business Development teams related to sustainable waste solutions - including waste routing, acceptance criteria and capabilities, and pricing. Grow knowledge of emerging processing technologies, regulatory, and market changes to help develop new operational strategies. Responsible for onboarding new 3 rd party partners and helping to direct internal investment in new processing capabilities. Create and maintain analytical tools, databases, and playbooks to support business development and internal education related to sustainable waste solutions. Assist with other responsibilities of the Outbound Disposal Team. 5+ years industry/regulations experience required. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations/laws required. Strong Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Chemistry, Business, or a related discipline. Experience developing vendor or supply chain partnerships.
