$112,000 - $168,000+ Base Salary (DOE) + 15-20% Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Position Overview A reputable company specializing in energy, infrastructure, and facility upgrades is in need of an experienced Project Delivery Consultant to assist in all stages of project development, from initial assessment to final execution. This role will act as a vital link between various departments, including business development, engineering, construction, and executive teams, to create successful project strategies, accurate budgets, feasible timelines, and effective execution plans. The Project Delivery Consultant will play a crucial role in securing new projects and ensuring that delivery teams are well-prepared for successful implementation. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a blend of project management skills, construction knowledge, estimating experience, financial expertise, and strong customer relations skills, especially within large commercial, governmental, energy, or infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Project Development & Pre-Construction Lead the development of project plans, strategies, schedules, and budgets during the preliminary phase. Assist in project opportunities from inception to contract award. Collaborate with different teams to devise competitive project solutions. Provide input on vendor selection, subcontractor strategy, value engineering opportunities, and risk mitigation plans. Create detailed cost estimates, labor forecasts, subcontractor estimates, and project schedules. Participate in contract negotiations and help establish favorable commercial terms, billing structures, and payment schedules. Assess project scope, customer needs, and delivery risks throughout the development process. Project Planning & Execution Support Develop and maintain initial project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project. Determine staffing requirements and allocate resources for successful project execution. Work closely with delivery leadership to anticipate future resource needs. Aid in project setup, document management, and project governance processes. Act as a technical resource during project execution to ensure alignment with project objectives. Support change management efforts and ensure proper documentation and communication of scope modifications. Customer & Stakeholder Management Establish and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, subcontractors, and industry partners. Keep communication channels open throughout the project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction. Present project plans, budgets, and execution strategies to clients and stakeholders. Use strong communication and negotiation skills to influence project decisions. Provide valuable advice during project development and transition phases. Financial & Commercial Leadership Assist in developing project financial plans and forecasts. Help achieve project profitability objectives through accurate estimating and procurement planning. Participate in project financial reviews and reporting activities. Contribute to project cash flow strategies and contract structures. Negotiate and finalize payment milestones. Compliance, Safety & Continuous Improvement Ensure compliance with contract, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements. Promote safety practices during project planning and execution. Aid in project risk management and documentation processes. Participate in project closeout reviews for continuous improvement. Maintain ethical standards in all business activities. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. 10+ years of experience in project delivery, construction management, or related fields. Strong background in project estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and planning. Experience managing complex projects in various industries. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat. Preferred Experience in energy performance contracting, infrastructure modernization, or sustainability projects. Understanding of construction delivery methods, procurement, and project risk evaluation. Experience in large-scale public sector, healthcare, or government projects.
