Electrical Testing Technician Contract to hire Monday- Thursday 6am- 4:30pmLocation:
Mesa, AZ (by the Mesa Gateway Airport)Pay:
$28-32/hr Core Purpose of the Role The Electrical Testing Technician ensures that HVAC and liquid‑cooling systems function safely, meet design specifications, and pass performance and quality standards before being released to customers. This role sits at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, and quality . Key Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Electrical & System Testing Perform electrical, functional, performance, and calibration tests on HVAC and cooling systems and their components. Verify circuit continuity, system compatibility, and electrical integrity using appropriate testing devices. Conduct environmental and operational testing to confirm systems perform under required conditions Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Diagnose electrical and electromechanical issues using test equipment and hand tools . Troubleshoot failed test results, identify root causes , and recommend or implement corrective actions. Support engineering by modifying or adjusting systems during testing and development phases. Test Setup & Lab Work Set up and prepare standard and specialized instruments for product evaluation. Maintain and calibrate testing tools and laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy. Wiring & Electromechanical Support Assist with wiring and electrical testing of HVAC products according to company standards. Perform basic electromechanical repairs and measurements as needed during testing. Documentation & Communication Record, analyze, and clearly document test data and results . Communicate findings and issues with engineering and production teams to support product quality and improvements. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry and company standards during testing.Qualificatons:
Associate degree or technical diploma in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or engineering technology . Hands‑on experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, and lab equipment . Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation . Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and comfort working in a manufacturing + engineering environment Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility on an assembly line in a climate-controlled environment. The role requires lifting and moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, and using personal protection equipment. Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
