As a key member of Cobham Satcom's production team, you will help ensure that our antenna and radome assemblies meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and reliability before delivery to customers worldwide. Working within a lean manufacturing environment , you'll apply your technical skills in RF testing, electronics troubleshooting, and mechanical alignment to support mission‑critical connectivity solutions across commercial, maritime, and defense applications. ResponsibilitiesTesting & Calibration Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and customer‑specific RF test procedures for high‑performance antenna systems. Perform final assembly, system alignment, and calibration to verify compliance with performance specifications. Apply RF theory and electronics knowledge to identify and correct performance deviations. Execute mechanical balancing and dynamic adjustments for stabilized antenna platforms. Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and product quality while meeting takt time and throughput goals. Troubleshooting & Technical Analysis Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic circuits, components, and electromechanical assemblies down to the component level. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to support test and assembly operations. Collect, analyze, and document test data—driving root‑cause analysis and recommending improvements. Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams during New Product Introduction (NPI) to validate and refine testing procedures. Process & Documentation Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain test documentation and traceability within the LN6 ERP system . Prepare completed units for shipment following final test and Quality Assurance (QA) review. Safely handle and apply adhesives, epoxies, and bonding materials in accordance with company standards. Follow and promote all Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) policies to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Provide technical guidance and on‑the‑job training to other technicians as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test efficiency, product reliability, and manufacturing processes. Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams including Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve technical issues. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Electronics or Mechanical discipline preferred. 4-6 years of experience in testing, alignment, or calibration of electromechanical or RF systems . Military, radar, or satellite communications background highly desirable. Solid understanding of transmit/receive RF theory and system integration principles. Proficient with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers . Skilled at reading schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation . Strong mechanical assembly skills and attention to precision detail. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint . Electronics certificate or equivalent military technical training required. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot using written, diagrammatic, or verbal instructions. Additional Requirements Ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced production environment .
