Test Rework Operator Job Purpose:
The Tester will receive boards from previous and verifies that the count and type of boards match the accompanying batch card. Handles boards according to specified procedures.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Sets up electronic testing equipment according to batch card. May run test panel to test machine setup and fixturing. Loads boards, runs test programs and sort boards by pass/fail status. Attaches machine printout of defect to failed boards. Reviews Tester's diagnosis of board's circuit defect. Visually examines board and schematic to identify circuit pattern. Uses continuity meter to check circuit status. Identifies and labels circuit defects. May take controlled impedance measurements and troubleshoot test system problems. Maintains test logs. Monitors test results. Keeps all charts accurate and up to date. Maintains required production logs. Maintains an orderly work area; performs general housekeeping duties. Follows safety rules; utilizes protective clothing (eye protection) and equipment; reports safety hazards and incidents to supervisors. May build and/or breakdown test fixtures used in the above process. Perform rework of PCB's.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 2 to 4 years previous manufacturing experience. Working knowledge of one or more Electrical Test machines and basic ability to perform troubleshooting and rework operations. Ability to perform close visual inspections of boards. Ability/willingness to perform highly repetitive machine operations. Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to statistical process control and production records. Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary Range (annual) : $40,404.00 - $45,530.28 Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
