Job Description

Job Title:
Test Technician Job Description The Test Technician performs advanced testing, diagnosis, and repair of complex electronic assemblies and systems while ensuring all products meet strict manufacturing and quality standards. This role involves hands-on work with circuit boards and electronic subassemblies, detailed documentation of test results, and collaboration with engineering to improve designs and test procedures. Responsibilities Perform advanced testing and diagnosis of complex electronic assemblies and systems. Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot circuit boards and assemblies down to the component level. Verify that all products comply with lean manufacturing practices and rigorous quality standards. Record testing data, accurately log errors, and thoroughly document repairs and rework performed. Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic subassemblies and instruments. Conduct PCB testing, including component-level soldering and desoldering, and perform rework as needed. Read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and specifications to guide testing and repair activities. Design and build test fixtures for equipment as needed to support testing requirements. Provide engineering suggestions for design improvements and enhancements to test procedures. Maintain quality control and adhere to
ISO 9001
2015 standards throughout all testing and repair activities. Essential Skills Prior hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, testing, or a related electro-mechanical field. Proficiency with electronic testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers. Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation. Strong understanding of basic electrical principles and circuit operation. Demonstrated soldering capabilities, including PCB soldering and desoldering at the component level. Experience with PCB boards, component replacement, and multimeter usage for diagnostics. Competence in electronic troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies and subassemblies. Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies. High school diploma with 1-3 years of electronics experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment. Background in electronic assembly, wiring, and electrical work. Ability to design and build basic test fixtures to support test processes. Comfort using a variety of test equipment for electronics testing and diagnostics. Attention to detail in documenting test results, errors, and repair actions. Ability to provide constructive feedback and suggestions to engineering teams on design and test improvements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suwanee, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
