This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and reliability through advanced troubleshooting, test process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-mix electronics manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates are hands-on electronics professionals who excel at diagnosing issues, improving systems, and working collaboratively across engineering and production teams. Key Responsibilities Perform inspection, testing, and component-level troubleshooting on a variety of network access and connectivity products using product documentation and automated test systems. Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve product issues. Develop, improve, and maintain test procedures, test setups and fixtures, and test strategies to improve efficiency and coverage. Provide clear and accurate documentation of test results, failures, and manufacturing activities. Identify trends and provide feedback to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Management to improve product quality, test yield, and overall process efficiency. Train and mentor other technicians, sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technical Support teams, as well as Purchasing/Planning and Sales as needed, and customers when required to support technical inquiries or issue resolution. Ensure compliance with
IPC-A-610
standards, ESD handling procedures, and company quality management systems and policies. Perform firmware loading, configuration, and use of terminal programs as required. Work both independently and within team-based production environments. Qualifications Required Associate's Degree (AA) or Technician Diploma in Electronics Technology or High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 3-5+ years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and components. Ability to read and understand schematics and assembly drawings. Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting to board/component level. Familiarity with
IPC-A-610
inspection and/or soldering standards. Understanding of ESD handling practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and collaboration platforms such as Teams. Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to adapt in a dynamic environment. Preferred Experience developing or improving test procedures and fixtures. Familiarity with in-circuit programming and firmware loading. Prior experience training or mentoring technicians. Experience in high-mix, low-volume electronics manufacturing environments. Exposure to yield improvement, root cause analysis, or process improvement initiatives. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Ability to work at a bench sitting and standing for extended periods. Use of hand tools and electronic test equipment. Ability to work independently or in a team-based cell environment.
