JOB SUMMARY
The Test Technician II performs intermediate-level testing and troubleshooting of printed circuit board assemblies and/or higher-level assemblies. This role requires proficiency with electronic test equipment, the ability to diagnose issues to the component level, and a solid understanding of analog and digital circuits. The technician will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality and resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities:
Perform Flying probe (FPT), In Circuit (ICT) or Functional (FCT) tests, of medium to high complexity products; operate test stations and follow documented procedures Setting up medium to high complexity test fixtures/environments for their use or for test operators Perform all duties of more junior positions Use electronic test equipment, like DMM, PSU, programmers etc. to perform assigned tasks Train and support junior team members, as required Troubleshoot to the component level the failures identified by the test operators and other test technicians within the test fixtures or other suitable setups Maintain accurate records of test results and production data Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Keep work area clean and organized following established procedures Support team goals and contribute to a positive work environment As required, collaborate with test engineering in the resolution of test failures and improve processes Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in electronics testing and component level troubleshooting Technical certification or associate degree in electronics preferred Proficiency in using electronic test equipment; ability to read and interpret technical documentation Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit theory; ability to read electronics schematics IPC-600, IPC-610, or
J-STD-001
certification preferred but not required Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn Proficient in Microsoft Office and test documentation tools #EmploynetJobsDallas
