Our advanced cargo handling systems help to quickly move cargo through the main deck and lower deck of an aircraft. Systems include ball transfer units, power drive units, control systems, freighter common turntables, centerline restraints, bumpers, unicaster panels, door sill assemblies and rollout stops. These components work together to convey and secure cargo within an aircraft for fast and easy loading and unloading. Our control systems are designed with built-in test equipment capability that enables the operator to perform on-aircraft troubleshooting, which significantly reduces the time required for on-aircraft functional tests. Robust and reliable Power Drive Units (PDUs) reduce aircraft load/unload time allowing the operator more commercial revenue flight time. We are currently hiring a Staff Test Technician in Jamestown, North Dakota.
What you will do:
Perform advanced troubleshooting, calibration or modification of hardware, fixtures, and software. Perform technical tasks based on written or verbal instructions. Utilize technical assets, utilize microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro-optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment including computers and lasers. Perform tests based off of test procedure requirements. Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance, and use of complex products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where moderate ingenuity and judgments are required. Procure equipment and components per engineering request. Provide technical solutions to engineering. Actively participate in material review activities including troubleshooting of non-conformances. Write test procedures, reports and manufacturing work instruction for complex or detailed assembly or test operations.
Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. U.S. Person is required - Job requires access to ITAR or 600/500-series EAR information or hardware (directly or indirectly) and the company will not seek an export authorization for this role. Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics, design drawings, detailed task procedures. Be comfortable using tools and equipment in a hands-on lab environment including mills, saws, grinders, digital multi meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies. Ability to travel up to 20%.
Experience we prefer:
Experience with Microsoft Visio, Lab View, TestStand, IDEC SmartRelay Programming preferred. Familiarity with 28 volts dc, 400 hertz AC, and 270 volt dc power circuits. Familiar in the use and maintenance of environmental chambers, tensile testers, NI equipment, and custom electromechanical test stands. Associates or Bachelor degree preferred. Experience in automation, calibration preferred. Ability or desire to create software programs. Knowledge of Labview, TestStand, is a plus. Experience troubleshooting electronics/electrical equipment.

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
