- 3:30 Job Description This position requires an experienced Test Technician with a strong background in manufacturing and test engineering environments, particularly in troubleshooting and repairing assembled PCB boards.
You will perform a variety of testing procedures, program and operate flying probe test equipment, debug electronic systems, and collaborate closely with engineers to enhance testing processes and improve overall product quality. Responsibilities Perform testing procedures on assembled PCB boards using flying probe equipment and other test systems. Program, set up, and operate flying probe testers to support production and engineering test requirements. Troubleshoot and repair assembled PCB boards, identifying faults at the component and circuit level. Use test instruments such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and power supplies to diagnose and verify electronic performance. Inspect PCBs for defects and nonconformities, ensuring compliance with quality and reliability standards. Debug electronic systems and test software, resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime. Collaborate with engineers to improve test methods, procedures, and fixtures, contributing to continuous process improvement. Document test results, failures, and corrective actions clearly and accurately using PC-based software tools. Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to engineering, production, and quality teams. Cross-train and perform additional test duties, including X-Ray and AOI testing, as needed to support team objectives. Adhere to established safety, quality, and production standards while working within a climate-controlled environment. Work a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., maintaining reliability and punctuality. Essential Skills Extensive experience working in manufacturing and test engineering environments. Strong experience in troubleshooting and repairing assembled PCB boards. Hands-on experience programming and operating flying probe test equipment. Proficiency in PCB inspection and identifying defects at the board and component level. Ability to use oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and power supplies for electronic testing and debugging. Strong debugging skills to efficiently identify and resolve hardware and test-related issues. Proficiency with PC software and programming related to test systems and data reporting. High level of technical communication skills for clear interaction with engineering and production teams. Motivation and ability to cross-train for additional test duties, including X-Ray and AOI testing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience improving or optimizing electronic test procedures in a production environment. Comfort working with debugging software tools and test scripts. Ability to interpret technical documentation such as schematics, test procedures, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and reliability. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00
