Full Job Description What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking to fill the position of Roadway Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in our Birmingham or Huntsville office. Responsibilities Assists in the design of a variety of roadway project types including urban streets, rural highways, bridge replacements, sidewalks and trails, complex interchanges, roundabouts and intersection improvements Collaborates with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies to help resolve a variety of complex problems Assists in the analysis, preparation or modification of technical reports, drawings, plans, specifications and permits for projects Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents Participates in project site visits with other project team members, as needed Demonstrates strong attention to detail Able to learn Alabama Department of Transportation systems, policies, and procedures Able to learn standard operations, policies and procedures of a firm, preferably within the A/E industry
Education & Experience Qualifications:
Education and Skills Bachelor's degree from accredited program Engineer Intern / Engineering in Training Certification, preferred Experience utilizing Microstation/Openroads software, preferred Why join us?
