The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop and build their personal knowledge and skills to assist with the growth and success of the office. Job Description:
Assisting senior design personnel in developing and completing designs and contract documents for transportation and rail and transit structures. Also, this role will assist in the preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and project plans. Additional duties may include field assessment and inspection of structures and facilities. Self-motivated, technically proficient, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and is team-oriented. Travel periodically within Arizona and neighboring states, while being physically capable of performing fieldwork. Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related field Holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or able to obtain in 6 months of hire
Minimum Experience:
Entry level Bridge/transportation and civil structures experience including the performance of preliminary and final designs, preparation of quantities and cost estimates, and preparation of plans. Experience in using bridge and structure design and analysis software, including spreadsheet and finite element programs Have experience and have familiarity with structure design codes and guidelines Experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Open Roads Designer and Open Bridge Modeler desired Project Wise experience is a plus InRoads, RISA, and Civil 3D experience a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Must have solid skills in the following areas: planning and scheduling; organization; problem-solving; and decision Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier Competencies (To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies): Communicative
