This is your chance to join our team - help us to design the infrastructure and buildings that improve the world! Whitman, Requardt & Associates is seeking an Entry Level Highway Engineer to join our Jacksonville, FL office. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers and will be responsible for the planning and design of transportation-related projects. This role involves supporting Senior Project Engineers in various tasks within the field of highway design.

Responsibilities:

Develop roadway horizontal and vertical alignments.



Conduct roadside evaluation and design.



Design maintenance of traffic plansPrepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.



Develop technical reports.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.0-4 years of relevant experience.



Relevant internship or job experience related to transportation engineering preferred.



Effective oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels.



Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Capability to handle multiple assignments.



Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads, InRoads, and AutoCAD preferred.



Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 - $125,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
