The Balmoral Group is seeking a Drainage Engineer/Sr. Drainage Engineer to be an integral member of our Firm who will provide technical oversight and drainage analysis on FDOT and CFX drainage design projects. The Balmoral Group is a known for its complex hydrologic and hydraulic modeling as well as implementing practical drainage design solutions. As a key player in growing our Water Resources Group within the Infrastructure Drainage Practice Area, this position has the opportunity to expand responsibilities into marketing, mentorship, and management depending on experience and the firm will offer salary commensurate with ability. Key Responsibilities Use ORD and Stormwise/ICPR4 to analyze the existing condition and design proposed stormwater management facilities for roadway projects (minor, major, and limited access facilities for CFX, FDOT, and local governments throughout the state of FL) Evaluate drainage conveyance systems for roadway improvements with consideration for constructability, maintenance, and cost effectiveness Perform data collection, field investigation and documentation, and permit research Estimate pond sizes and floodplain impacts during Feasibility and PD&E phases Preparing drainage-related construction plans in ORD - drainage maps, pond detail sheets, drainage structure cross sections for roadway improvement projects Client interaction and project management duties for more experienced candidates; depending on experience, develop junior staff To Be Successful In This Position You Will Ideally Have... 5 - 25 years of FDOT Drainage design experience B.S. in Civil Engineering and Florida P.E. Proficiency with Stormwise/ICPR4 and ORD, knowledgeable with
FDOT Drainage Manual and FDOT Drainage Design Guide Work Environment:
