Traffic Engineering Location:

We are seeking an Engineer in Training that specializes in Traffic Engineering. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the growth of our traffic engineering group, which currently consists of 8 individuals ranging from 0 years to 20+ years. This group has consistently grown in its ability to capture and complete quality work and now needs additional engineering experts to grow the traffic engineering practice in the Boise area. This position reports to the Technical Resources Lead within the Transportation Services Group (TSG). Key Responsibilities Traffic Group Technical Roles Support the growth and development of the technical traffic practice companywide. Prepare traffic deliverables for local, state, private, and federally funded projects. Have knowledge of or ability to grow expertise in: Sidra Vissim Visum HCS Synchro Cube Vistro TransCAD OpenRoads Designer Under the direction of a licensed engineer, develop expertise and the ability to work on: Travel Demand Modeling Signalization and Corridor Timing Transportation Master Plans Traffic Impact Studies Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Illumination Signing and Striping Traffic Safety Analysis Signal Design Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Traffic Group Team Role Support strategic planning of traffic group operations. Manage workload and identify workload gaps. Proven ability to work with others and adhere to project schedules. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting multiple offices and teams. Strong communication and writing skills.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification. 0-4 years of progressive traffic engineering experience. A desire to learn, grow, and develop into a key role of an awesome team.
