Medical, dental, vision Sterling Engineering is looking for a Senior Transportation Engineer in Sugar Grove, IL. This opportunity is with a leading engineering services firm dedicated to serving local communities with a focus on excellence, strong client relationships, and technical expertise.

Job Duties:

Participate on project teams for a variety of transportation projects. Lead or support planning, design, and reporting activities. Provide construction oversight and management on transportation projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely project delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. 5-15 years of experience in transportation projects such as roadway rehabilitation, reconstruction, intersection and traffic signal design, traffic studies, and shared-use paths. Knowledge of IDOT standards, Phase I/II design requirements, and MFT requirements preferred. Experience with MicroStation and traffic modeling software (e.g., Highway Capacity Software or Synchro) a plus. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred or willingness to obtain. P.T.O.E. license or ability to obtain within one year is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license required.
