If you want to join a company invested in you and your success, join us as a Transportation Engineering Co-op. As a Transportation Engineering Co-op, you will work alongside experienced engineers and designers to support transportation projects from planning through design. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with DOT, county, and municipal projects while learning industry design standards, engineering practices, and project delivery processes. The transportation co-op position will rotate through three discipline focus areas within the first assignment semester before focusing within a discipline in subsequent co-op semesters. You will gain experience within the following transportation disciplines: Structures/ bridges - support bridge projects through data collection, quantity takeoffs, drafting engineering details, and assisting with project deliverables. Roadway/ highways - support project teams in developing roadway, intersection, and multi-modal transportation improvements through the preparation of roadway plans, profiles, cross sections, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and technical exhibits using industry-standard design software. Traffic/ Safety - support data-driven safety assessments such as crash analyses, network screening, and systemic safety studies through data visualization and analysis, applying analytic tools, developing code/programming, and writing/documentation of findings. We are looking for this co-op to start in January 2027, working through the Spring semester. Enrollment in a degree seeking program in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a closely related field Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D) Ideally, you'll also have: Previous experience design or transportation-related coursework Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
