The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in roadway & highway design projects. This opportunity offers an excellent career development opportunity for someone looking to grow with Halff, with potential for not only business and personal growth, but ownership in the firm.
What you will do:
Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer Perform calculations and analysis for design projects Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors and contractors Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies What you will need: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree Valid Driver's License and acceptable Driving Record The ability to obtain an EIT Certificate within one (1) year Great communication skills Solid relationship and team building skills Self-motivated and strong organization skills 0 to 3 years of experience in Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects Experience in MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer Knowledge of applicable traffic engineering/ITS, and roadway standards and methods The Halff Transportation Advantage Multi-discipline teams to meet challenges that are often complicated by aging infrastructure and shrinking budgets. Extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably. Collaborative approach to transportation projects.
