Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Engineer Job Description As a Quality Engineer, you will develop APQP documentation to support the Product Realization Process in accordance with customer requirements. You will maintain the necessary documentation that meets specifications for Document Control and retrievability. Your role will involve interfacing with customer personnel to resolve quality issues, participating in the development and maintenance of formal quality systems, and driving continuous improvement in quality systems and processes. Responsibilities Develop and maintain APQP documentation such as FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP. Interface with customer personnel to resolve quality issues and concerns. Participate in the development and maintenance of formal quality systems like
ISO 9001 & IATF.
Drive continuous improvement and best practice sharing of quality systems and processes. Facilitate problem-solving of complex issues using advanced quality tools. Assist in onboarding and training new team members. Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members. Identify and train backups to manage key tasks during absences. Approve time and attendance and vacations for direct reports. Review and respond to employee suggestions. Ensure inspection and containment plans are in place for the process value stream. Confirm product quality through confirmation phase exit. Initiate control plans and training for inspection and gauge instructions. Execute PPAP submission and approval for customer-initiated product changes. Participate in GD&T development through the DFM process. Responsible for all aspects of gauge procurement, including quoting, design approval, and customer approval. Responsible for supplier gauge design approval, PPAP review, and approval. Essential Skills Experience with root cause analysis, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and Document Control. High level of knowledge in GD&T and its application. Proficiency in KDCs, SPC, MSA. Ability to develop Red Pen Fixture Drawings and author measurement plans. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in planning, supporting, and implementing total quality management. Ability to estimate gauge costs considering specifications. Strong understanding and interpretation of customer-specific requirements. Work Environment You will be working in a dynamic environment as a Tier one supplier. The role involves collaboration with teams and requires a proactive approach to quality management and continuous improvement. Dress code and specific shift details are not mentioned.
